Returns & Refunds Policy

Legal compliance:
Our returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This law applies to all business to consumer transactions within the UK where a consumer does not meet the vendor.

Eratta:
Product colours and designs may occasionally vary slightly from the image due to design changes.

Availability:
In the event that an item is unavailable when you order we will inform you as soon as possible. An alternative or full refund will be offered if money has already been paid.

Cancellation:
You may cancel your order at any time before it has been dispatched and will be given a full refund.

Returns:
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return it within 7 days. It must be in its original condition and packaging. A full refund will be applied to the credit card used for the purchase. Goods returned for reason other than fault or damage will be refunded less the cost of delivery. Returns can be made to:

Proof of posting is not proof of receipt by us. We recommend you use Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery. If an incorrect or incomplete delivery address is specified, resulting in failed delivery, redelivery can be arranged (subject to a redelivery cost) or a refund can be issued less delivery costs. Where goods are faulty postage costs will be refunded.

Safe Shopping:
We accept payment made through Paypal. Paypal is a safe and secure method of paying. You can either become a paypal member or pay with a one-off card payment. Visit www.paypal.co.uk for further details. If you would like to pay by cheque or postal order (UK customers only), please email us with details of the items you wish to reserve. Items will only be dispatched when the cheque or postal order has cleared. Please allow up to 7 business days for cheques to be banked and cleared.

Starting Out Right respect your right to privacy. None of the information we collect is passed on to other parties, except when required as part of the business services we provide for you, or as required under UK law. We may use your email address to contact you about future offers but you may unsubscribe from these emails and we will not contact you again.

Data Collection:
Starting Out Right will only collect details about you when you place an order. These will include your name and address, your email address, and various other details necessary to complete a transaction and fulfil your order. We do not collect any information which may be deemed "sensitive personal data" under the Data Protection Act 1998.
